In the summer of 2021, the Windom Community Council's (WCC's) Outreach and Community Engagement Committee began to reach out to renters in the Windom neighborhood.

Roughly 35% of our housing units in Windom are renter occupied. Windom houses several large apartment complexes, duplexes, and townhomes.

Additionally, our renter population is diverse in race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, physical ability and in other ways as well.

The goal of this project is to interview a significant number of renters to learn about their needs which will inform the creation of appropriate programs that will help meet those needs.

We have identified the following apartment complexes as places to start the project:   City Limits, Wexford Commons, Wood Haven, Windom Gables, Diamond Point.
